  2. Do you think the nurse April knew that Verity was faking.? And why did she dislike Lowen? Teri R

  3. It was eventually disclosed that Jeremy ‘preselected’ Lowen as an author to write the remaining chapters of Verity’s book series. What did you think about that? Did it make you feel differently about him in any way? Lori C

  7. Given the circumstances, would you have accepted Jeremy’s offer to stay at their house for two weeks? Cindi S

  8. Let’s talk about Crew.. I know he had little slip ups every now and then that kind of hinted at Verity’s condition. But I’m just so shocked that he had never straight up told Jeremy at some point.. that is a HUGE secret to trust a 5 year old with. Olivia D

  9. What were your thoughts on Jeremy? What one word best describes him for you?  Lori C

  10. Did you ever consider Verity's perspective? Witnessed two tragedies, wrote about it to escape reality, almost killed by your husband after he read it, then he brings another woman to your home after almost killing you. And all this while all you could do is pretend to be brain dead. I mean she was kinda painted like a villain, but did you ever consider how all this affected her?  Praise I

  11. It was eventually disclosed that Jeremy ‘preselected’ Lowen as an author to write the remaining chapters of Verity’s book series. What did you think about that? Did it make you feel differently about him in any way?  Lori C

  12. The number one thing that left me over analyzing after reading her letter was how Verity wanted to leave as soon as she found the manuscript and could destroy it and she had been looking for weeks but then little Lowen comes in and finds it in the FIRST day?!
I mean did Jeremy put it somewhere where he knew she would find it easily? If so doesn't that validate his knowledge of the manuscript prior to Lowen revealing it to him?
Or is Verity literally just blind and missed it even though it was in her own office....C Sarrazin

  17. While I just went through my notes for discussion day I realized something. In So Be It chapter 6, which is about the dream predicting one sister killing the other, Verity writes 'It's exactly how I felt when I thought of the possibility of Jeremy dying. I would lose all function.'
I believe Jeremy DID die in the eyes of Verity when he mourned the loss of both girls. She already back then decided to lose all function/predict that... just thoughts. – Britt B

  21. When Lowen found the letter in the floorboards, was anyone else afraid it was going to “out” Jeremy as the actual psycho rather that Verity adding a crazy twist? He was so wonderful and perfect that I found myself hoping but skeptical that he wasn’t just as crazy and manipulative as Verity. – Bethany L

  22. Are we ok to overlook Jeremy is capable of murder not once but twice because the circumstances ? Does this make him and Lowen as evil? – Joanna G

  43. Did you feel like there were parts of the book, especially towards the end that were not quite believable? – Wanda C

  44. There were so many crazy moments that happened in this book where my heart was pounding because of foreshadowing... but then nothing happened... like when Jeremy asked Lowen to go to the basement with him to get the aquarium because the door was installed backwards so “it’s impossible to come up the stairs with you hands full or you can’t get out”. I feared she’d be locked down there... and the lock he installed outside her bedroom door. I had visions of fire and her being stuck in that room... was there anything that had your heart pounding and imagination running wild? – Lori C

REVIEWS
Jennifer Croasdale 4 stars for me. This is more my normal genre, so I enjoyed that. This book kept me interested and surprised me, which are good things. I would have liked to know about Lowen's past a little more, and I would like to know if there was a sinister twist to the first twin dying. I hope Colleen Hoover decides to try her hand at suspense again.
Lori Hines Connolly This was my first 5* of the year and the first 5* CoHo book for me (this is the 5th I’ve read). While I love her romance writing, she managed to tick off every box to make this a successful psychological thriller and then the ending was pure genius. It’s frightening that I can imagine this sort of dark crazy really happening. Absolutely loved it
Amanda Kossen 4/5 stars. It wasn’t my normal type of book but I enjoyed it. I liked that it made me think and kept me on my toes.
